For over 20 years, our laboratory has been investigating a fascinating aspect of human cognition: our innate ability to prioritize and process information related to ourselves much faster and more accurately than other information. This is known as the Self-Prioritization Effect.
Through this brief game, we demonstrate that this effect is not only real but can be actively triggered through human intervention. If you look closely at your results on the previous page, you will likely notice that your reaction time was faster and your accuracy was higher when identifying your "Self" avatar compared to others.
We are now eager to take these findings out of the lab. Our current mission is to translate this research into a practical, engaging intervention tool designed to enhance cognitive abilities and improve the mood of older adults.
Your participation is greatly appreciated.
